Below I've created a list of the top 5 blogs I believe every graphic designer should follow. The list has been put together after a years worth of reading design blogs and the following are the ones I kept going back to. It would be useful to analyse the blogs and discover what makes each one work so that I can apply those ideas to my own blog. Just Creative Design The main focus of Jacob Cass' blog is on the subject of Graphic Design. It provides tips, articles and resources on all subjects of design ranging from print design, logo design, branding, typography, advertising and more.
Creative Review Creative Review is a well known publication in the 'visual communication' field. The blog is an extension of their monthly magazine and their aim is to inspire, inform and stimulate debate among the readers.
Design Observer Composed of short essays and articles, the blog covers a wide range of design areas, centering on graphics but including communication, print, typography and criticism.
Wallpaper Wallpaper* magazine is at the forefront of design and style. "Renowned for its beautiful, inspiring features, it is the leading authority on international architecture, design, fashion and lifestyle." www.magazinesdirect.com
